About us

Some of our friendly volunteers ...

Our Volunteers All Souls Church Hall, Eastbourne Sanctuary Café offers a free drop-in service for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, open every Monday at All Souls Church Hall at the back of the Beacon Shopping Centre.

We have a group of 20 terrific volunteers all of whom are DBS checked. Sanctuary Café has been running since 2016, helping people from over 43 different nationalities and on average have between 15-20 visitors each week.

We provide a range of free clothing And we can provide free food handouts

We can signpost on immigration issues, the Home Office, victims of persecution, torture and human trafficking (including domestic servitude, economic slaves and victims of sex trafficking) and people at risk of exploitation, destitution and homelessness.

What would you experience if you visited ?

A warm welcome from our receptionists with a nice cup of tea or coffee and an invitation to help yourself to donated food.

A friendly volunteer will ask you whether you want free English Conversation classes.

We have experienced and qualified English teachers who would love to support your learning no matter what your level of English.
